Fall in Love : Dana and Scott's Cantigny Engagement Session

Before I started Something Blue Photography and Design, I worked for eight years as a high school teacher in District 214. As a teacher I loved building relationships with students, encouraging them to challenge themselves, and learning new things along the way. I miss teaching, and am always so happy when paths cross with people from those wonderful days in District 214. When Dana and Scott first came to the studio to talk about their wedding day, they looked VERY familiar. Turns out they both graduated from Elk Grove High School, and both took Photography (which was, of course, my favorite class to teach!) I was overjoyed to see these sweet former students, who have now grown up and become teachers themselves, and are happily looking forward to their wedding in 2017.

Dana and Scott chose the gorgeous Cantigny Park in Wheaton, Illinois for their engagement photos. The fall colors were blazing, and we stumbled upon one stunning location after another. These two are so lovely together, after taking these pictures I just can't wait to celebrate their wedding next year!

These terrific yellow chairs were sprinkled throughout the park, Dana and Scott looked a bit like royalty when they took a seat.

Talk about #relationshipgoals...

After Dana and Scott changed into dressier clothes, the sun peeked out just for one beautiful moment.

These two... Dana and Scott, you are just perfect together, I can't wait until July 28th, 2017! <3
