One of the greatest perks of this job comes from building relationships. Sure, it's awesome to get free cake every weekend, but even more amazing is getting to know families during the most beautiful and memorable moments of their lives. We first met Lindsay and George at her mom's wedding to David two years ago, and then again at her cousin Andy's wedding last fall. At each event Lindsay was so warm and welcoming, and it was clear from afar that she and George were perfect for each other. Lindsay has a smile that can make you feel like you have been friends forever. George is quiet and thoughtful; his face lights up when Lindsay is around. Together, they epitomize #relationshipgoals, I can't tell you how excited I was when I was asked to photograph their wedding!
Lindsay and George's wedding day was set for mid-July and held in her mom Sharon's backyard. Sharon and David worked for months to get everything ready, and their labor of love led to the most perfectly gorgeous backyard wedding. Every detail was so lovely - from the chandeliers hanging from the trees to the homemade limoncello favors - but what really made this day memorable was being witness to the unfolding of Lindsay and George's love story.
After Lindsay and George's first look, the wedding party went to the Chicago Botanic Garden for pictures. The weather was amazing as we explored the beautiful English gardens together.
When we returned to the house everything looked AMAZING, such a dreamy backdrop for a fairytale wedding...
The twinkling tent lights signaled the reception could begin, it was an absolutely gorgeous setting for a beautiful and unforgettable celebration.
We danced the night away under the tent, Lindsay's friends showed off some pretty legit dance moves to some awesome 90s throwback party songs.
Congratulations, Lindsay and George, we love you guys and wish you a lifetime of happiness together!
