In the fall we get to photograph SOOO many families, it's an absolute blast catching up with old friends and meeting sweet new faces. And while we love hunting for fall colors to get those perfect Christmas card photos, it's a real treat for us when a family wants to do something a little different. Both Lindsay and I have really enjoyed doing "urban" family photo sessions set against the pretty backdrops of the Chicago suburbs. If you are looking for something different for your family session, you may want to take some inspiration from these gorgeous sessions. The first was shot in Glencoe, which features a picturesque beach, pretty exposed brick walls and lots of alleys to explore.
Downtown Lake Forest has so many pretty alleys and storefronts, there are especially a lot of great vignettes there for families in the fall.
And historic Long Grove is always a great option, with the cobblestone streets and stunning covered bridge.
