Snow in Love : Carolyn and Joe's Lincoln Park Engagement Session

It's been an unusually mild winter (by Chicago's standards). Here we are nearly half-way through February, and it hasn't snowed at all since December. I'm definitely NOT complaining, it's been a treat to leave the house and not worry about slipping, but the visual part of me misses seeing the beauty of winter. Carolyn and Joe planned to do their engagement photos this winter to get their Save the Dates out in time for their late fall wedding. We waited and hoped for snow, and when it just didn't come we decided on the last weekend of January. The forecast called for chilly temps, but we were joyfully surprised when SNOW started swirling through the air just before their session began. It made for a beautiful afternoon for an even more beautiful couple, I loved getting to know these two as they braved the winter weather together.

We ducked under Lincoln Park's famous tunnel to get a quick break from the cold...

And then these two were brave enough to take their coats off for a few sweet shots...

These two had no problem keeping each other warm, even as we battled the cold wind off Lake Michigan.

Thank you, Carolyn and Joe, for spending a wintry afternoon with me, you are such a sweet and lovely couple! <3
