2017 is already shaping up to be our most exciting year yet at Something Blue. We have a PACKED wedding season, and are really excited to be photographing so many wonderful couples over the next few months. After a short winter break, we celebrated our first wedding of 2017 with Brittany and David at the Seven Bridges Country Club, and it was absolutely perfect.
Brittany and David were made for each other. Both veterinarians, they share a passion for animals and bonded over their clinical experiences and interesting cases (they have some pretty crazy stories about the wild stuff that dogs have swallowed!) This love for animals brought Brittany and David together and formed the foundation for a strong friendship, a relationship that grew into something more over the years. They realized on Independence Day, while watching the fireworks over the Chicago skyline, that they were destined to be together. When their wedding day arrived, there was so much joy surrounding Brittany and David, we had an amazing time celebrating along with their family and friends.
Brittany got ready with her bridesmaids at the Hyatt, the air was electric in the room as the girls buzzed around the gorgeous bride. Brittany was just radiant, her Allure Couture gown fit like a dream.
As Brittany got ready upstairs, David quietly prepared to meet his bride by writing her a heartfelt love note.
The girls' fuchsia gowns looked amazing on all of them, a welcome burst of color on a wintry February wedding day.
David and the guys relaxed for a bit at the hotel bar before heading to the Naperville Riverwalk for their first look.
We had taken Brittany and David's engagement photos at the Naperville Riverwalk. The location is so beautiful, but the February weather was SO cold compared to when we were there last summer. Brittany and David braved the wind and freezing temps for some sweet moments together before tying the knot. David's reaction to seeing his gorgeous bride was just perfect, these two are adorable together.
When we arrived at Seven Bridges, everything looked so beautiful for the ceremony and reception. The wedding party happily faced the cold for a few pictures outside before the ceremony, they were so awesome. Once the ceremony began all eyes were on Brittany and David as they began their forever together.
After a delicious dinner, Brittany and David danced to "Die a Happy Man", such a perfect song to end a perfect day. Before we left we celebrated by saying goodnight on the bridge outside with an epic glitter cannon send-off. It was amazing and beautiful, just like this wonderful couple <3
Thank you, Brittany and David, for sharing this amazing day with us, we love you and wish you a lifetime of happiness together!
