Over the last three and a half years, our family has come to know downtown Arlington Heights as "home." We love this town - especially in the summertime - we love being able to walk to the library, party at Frontier Days, and bump into friends at the pool. When I met Anne and Andrew I found out they were neighbors who also love this town, and they wanted to have their wedding festivities firmly rooted in our lovely community. I was so excited to stay local for a wedding, and even more excited to celebrate this incredibly fun and down-to-earth couple.
When the big day finally arrived, it was a rainy and dreary morning. Anne's parents had worked tirelessly to make their award-winning gardens look absolutely perfect for their daughter's wedding, but the rain threatened to keep everyone inside. Miraculously the rain stopped just as Anne was about to see Andrew for the first time in her wedding gown. It was such a sweet moment when Anne's dad held an umbrella over his daughter while she walked down the garden path to her groom.
When we arrived at St. Simon's church spirits were high before Anne and Andrew's ceremony. Andrew made sure to throw some shade at the guests when the reverend asked if anyone objected to their union. But my favorite moment came when Anne and Andrew celebrated their vows with a relieved fist bump during communion, these two are seriously the best.
We took pictures of the bridal party in downtown Arlington Heights before heading to the gorgeous Rolling Green Country Club. The room looked amazing and was the perfect backdrop for Anne and Andrew's reception.
Congratulations, Anne and Andrew, we love you and wish you a lifetime of happiness together! Hope to see you around town :)
