Heather and Daniel's Magical Metropolis New Year's Eve Wedding

New Year's Eve 2019 brought the promise of a new start as we ventured together into the next decade. We LOVE New Year's weddings, they are always undoubtedly the best party of the year! Heather and Daniel's gorgeous and joyful celebration at our favorite neighborhood venue The Metropolis Ballroom was the absolute perfect way to say goodbye to 2019 and hello to 2020! We knew when Conrad met these two for their engagement session last fall that we were incredibly lucky to be a small part of their sweet love story.

From the moment we walked into Heather and Daniel's beautiful home we could feel the love. Heather and her lovely bridesmaids welcomed us warmly in their adorably snuggly buffalo plaid pajamas before heading into the snow to pop a bottle of celebratory champagne. We loved discovering a beautiful gallery wall in their master bedroom filled with pretty black and whites from their engagement and waiting on new pictures from their wedding. Heather looked amazing when she slipped into her lacy Jenny Yoo gown. It was so so sweet to watch her bridesmaids and then her Dad react to seeing Heather as a bride.

Heather and Daniel had their first date and Salsa 17 in downtown Arlington Heights. They feel hard and fast for one another and Daniel proposed to Heather in the alley next to Salsa 17 on Valentine's Day last year. So it was only fitting that we did their first look on their wedding day in that very same romantic alleyway. We could have stayed there all day, it was so beautiful, but SO cold, so after a few quick shots there we headed to the Renaissance in Schaumburg.

When we arrived back at The Metropolis the ceremony site was perfectly set up for a beautiful celebration. We all shed a few tears when Heather and Daniel read the vows they wrote for one another, and then after they said "I do" the party really got started!! We snuck outside to celebrate with sparklers before dancing the night away in the gorgeous ballroom. As midnight came closer the rocking musicians from Felix and Fingers got everyone hyped for the new decade. We counted down and welcomed the new year in an explosion of confetti, kisses and hugs, it was the most magical moment.
