Oh how I love a Christmas wedding... there is nothing like twinkling white lights, red roses, and a couple hopelessly in love to get me in the holiday spirit! This was such a fun and festive wedding to photograph! 

The bride and her girlfriends got ready at the Westin North Shore, their room had an amazing view (and plenty of beverages to get everyone in the mood to party!) Christine is incredibly selfless and thoughtful, and made sure her bridesmaids were having a great time. How adorable are their matching turquoise robes?!?

There wasn't a dry eye in the room when Christine opened her gift from Shane, his way with words brought everyone to tears. 

Then Lucy arrived, she might possibly be the cutest flower girl EVER...

We were transfixed as Christine changed into her stunning corseted dress, all while managing to keep everyone in the room laughing.

As the guys got ready, Shane opened his gift from Christine and was excited to find a custom Blackhawks bowling ball!

Soon we headed to the hotel lobby to take pictures of the bridal party, making sure to keep Christine and Shane apart so they could wait until their ceremony to see each other.

Once their ceremony at St. Alphonsus church started, Shane was beaming as he waited to see his bride. The service was beautiful, filled with emotion as the winter sun set in the background.

After the ceremony, we snuck outside for a few quick portraits of the bride and groom before we lost all daylight.

On our way to the reception, we stopped at a nearby fountain to take pictures by the Christmas lights. Christine and Shane's love shone brighter than those gorgeous lights, what a magical spot for their first dance together as husband and wife.

When we arrived at Chevy Chase Country Club, the entire venue was glowing with Christmas spirit, the room just took your breath away.

Their cake topper honored their adorable pug, Oakley, who was definitely there in spirit!

Loved this idea as a guestbook, custom ornaments to decorate the newlyweds' Christmas tree!

After a delicious dinner, we were treated to one of the most epic toasts of all time by Christine's brother, who wrote and performed a rap just for the occasion.

Not to be outdone, Christine and Shane's first dance was equally epic, a choreographed homage to some of the greatest dance songs in recent memory. It was awesome, and also sweetly romantic.

The night ended with a quiet moment by the tree, with those beautiful lights in the background, and this gorgeous couple lost in love.
