More Romantic than Any Fairytale : Kate & Gregg's Barn at Hornbaker Gardens Wedding

Once upon a time, Kate was a real-life Disney princess. She had dreamed of her wedding day since she was a little girl and pinned every gorgeous detail to Pinterest. All she needed was her prince, the perfect guy to sweep her off her feet. When she first met Gregg, his charming smile and hand full of flowers was about all Kate needed to tell her HE was her happily ever after. Kate's wedding to Gregg was more romantic than any fairytale.

The stage was set at The Barn at Hornbaker Gardens, a stunning venue situated in a beautiful landscape a short drive from Chicago. The barn was the perfect backdrop for the pretty rustic and vintage details styled by Key to Your Heart rentals.

Kate got ready with her friends and family in the bridal suite. As she pulled on her cowboy boots and slipped into her stunning dress, Kate transformed into the loveliest bride.

Gregg looked so handsome as he waited to see Kate for the first time. She wrote a note to her groom and as he read it he couldn't help but get a little emotional.

These two - the way they look at each other, the way they complete each other - it's beyond words...

After their first look, we met up with the entire bridal party for portraits. The bridesmaids looked so lovely in their blush dresses, and her twin nieces were perfection in their lacy flower girl dresses and little cowboy boots.

Gregg is a life-long, die-hard Cubs fan (much like myself!); we had to sneak in a few shots of him in his Ryne Sandberg jersey.

When it came time for their ceremony, the grounds at Hornbaker looked SO beautiful. All eyes were on the happy bride and groom, but Kate and Gregg only had eyes for each other.

The reception hall was bursting with joy as Kate and Gregg cut their cake and were toasted by those dearest to them.

Gregg has season tickets at Wrigley Field, and he and Kate spent many dates there cheering on the Chicago Cubs. Over time they befriended their section's beer vendor, and invited him to their wedding. One of the sweetest moments of the night was when he came a poured a drink for the bride and groom, before officially going off the clock. Having him there showed how warm and kind Kate and Gregg are - to know them is to feel loved, to feel like family.

As night fell the sunset was just gorgeous, we slipped out of the reception for a few romantic shots with the newlyweds.

After the sun set the party started, we danced the night away to the awesome sounds of Felix and Fingers dueling pianos. The dance floor was lit, and we even took a few moments to sing "Go Cubs Go" and fly the W. It was an unforgettable night.

Thank you, Kate and Gregg, from the bottom of our hearts. You made us feel like family, and we will never forget your perfect wedding day. We wish you a lifetime of happily ever afters!
