Katie & John's Chicago Botanic Garden Wedding

In so many ways, Katie and John's wedding at the Chicago Botanic Garden was a like a beautiful dream. We have always wanted to shoot a wedding at the Botanic Garden, it's endlessly gorgeous year-round. The time and love that went into planning Katie and John's wedding showed through in every detail throughout the day. We were honored to be a part of such a perfect day, and even more honored to be surrounded by Katie and John's loving friends and family as they started their married lives together.

When we arrived at Katie's childhood home, the super talented Tricia Clarke and her team were working their magic on Katie and her gorgeous bridesmaids. They even did a little touch-up on Katie's Dad, which was sooooo cute. Katie's bridesmaids were some of the loveliest women we have ever met, each one went out of their way to help make their best friend's day the best ever. They all looked SO adorable in their coordinating blue pajamas, and just gorgeous in their blush Donna Morgan bridesmaid dresses. When Katie changed into her custom Cettina gown we were ALL crying, she looked stunning.

The party started with a bang under the tent along the lake, Katie and John made their entrance to thunderous applause before being treated to a number of heartfelt and emotional toasts. When it came time for their first dance, Katie floated along the dance floor with a smile that lit up the room. The Big Beat kept the dance floor full all night, and even invited Katie's amazing bridesmaid Kathleen to join them on a rocking version of "Don't Stop Believing." It was the most amazing night, after the sparklers and goodbyes Conrad and I didn't want to leave. We sat along the edge of the lake just to watch the crews take down all of the tables and decorations and talked about how perfect the day had been.
