Worth the Wait : Amanda and Jason's Hotel Baker Wedding

When we first met Amanda and Jason, it was one of those meetings where by the end we all had tears in our eyes from laughing. Our favorite couples can make us laugh until we cry, and we went into Amanda and Jason’s wedding day expecting a super fun celebration. What we didn’t anticipate was how much emotion we would experience; their unforgettable wedding day was filled with tears of joy as Amanda and Jason finally became husband and wife.

Amanda and Jason took a long time getting to the altar. They first met in 2001 when her dad introduced them at a bar. They became friends, but after almost seven months, Amanda realized that she might just like Jason after all. They dated for years before getting engaged on Christmas Eve… in 2008. They moved forward, loving life together, but didn’t put marriage as a priority. Jason wouldn’t be swayed, and proposed to Amanda again on Christmas Eve… in 2015. This time around they were determined to tie the knot, and planned the most perfect wedding at the historic Hotel Baker in St. Charles.

Even though Amanda never dreamed of her wedding day, her wedding day was an absolute dream. Every detail was so lovely and timeless.

The lovely and talented Tricia Clarke did all the girls' makeup, and as always she KILLED IT. Amanda and her bridesmaids looked absolutely gorgeous.

Jason didn't look too shabby himself, he pulled out his best modeling tricks when it came time for pictures.

The amazing Rainbow Room was the perfect backdrop for Amanda and Jason's timeless ceremony. When Amanda walked in across the lighted floor with her father, she seemed to be floating, and Jason couldn't contain his emotions when he first saw his gorgeous bride.

During cocktail hour we snuck in a few quick pictures in the hotel lobby, before braving the cold March temps for some shots of Amanda and Jason outside.

The Rainbow Room was magically transformed for the reception, it looked amazing with all of the elegant blue and white details.

After a delicious dinner and emotional speeches, Amanda and Jason took to the dance floor for the first time as husband and wife before their guests danced the night away.

Thank you, Amanda and Jason, for sharing endless love and laughs with us on your wedding day! We love you and wish you a lifetime of happiness together!
