Heidi and Dave's Sweet Summer Makray Memorial Golf Club Wedding

Heidi and Dave met online and connected over their shared love of the great outdoors. They got engaged at Jasper National Park in Canada while staying at the gorgeous Fairmont Lodge, and that beautiful landscape inspired some of their wedding planning. We loved the cool details sprinkled throughout their reception that referenced Heidi and Dave's love of travel, especially the DIY mountain table numbers. Heidi radiated joy throughout the day, glowing in her lace Stella York gown and changing into a fun navy belt for their reception. Dave couldn't keep his eyes off his beautiful bride as we floated along throughout their day celebrating their love. As the reception began, the sun dipped below the horizon and gifted us with a lovely sunset. It seemed only fitting for this adventure-loving couple that we went and climbed a little hill just past Makray's iconic facade for some sunset photos. It IS the highest point in Lake County, but this being Illinois means that it isn't much of a mountain. But it made a beautiful spot nonetheless for Heidi and Dave to sweetly practice their first dance before they went inside for the real thing surrounded by their families and friends.
