Jamie and Michael's Romantic Fall Makray Golf Club Wedding

Jamie and Michael met in junior high and were friends throughout high school. They didn't start dating until college where they spent their first few years together mostly apart (he went to Purdue and she went to Illinois State). After college they moved back to the area and settled into their adult lives together - Jamie started teaching and Michael started a landscape architecture. business. As they matured they became more and more convinced that they would spend the rest of their lives together, and on New Year's Eve of 2018 Michael proposed to the love of his life.

Jamie and Michael's wedding took place on a beautiful September day at our favorite venue, Makray Memorial Golf Club. We had so much fun with Jamie and her bridesmaids as they got ready at her parents' home, and it was then incredibly sweet to witness Michael's reaction when he saw his love for the first time as a bride. When we went out on the course at Makray we were surprised to find that the recent rain had made the water level rise higher than we have ever seen. It made for some epic and romantic photos near the bridge before their beautiful ceremony. Once Jamie and Michael exchanged their vows we were all excited to celebrate, the room at Makray looked absolutely gorgeous with their fall-themed florals and centerpieces. Jamie and Michael's first dance was to Neil Young's Harvest Moon, their favorite song and truly perfect as the Harvest Moon rose that night clear in the September sky. It was a gorgeous and unforgettable day, we were so honored to be there.
